The son of Kermit Gosnell, who was convicted of murder for botched abortions performed at his Philadelphia clinic, will spend time in prison for burglarizing a college students' home last year.
NBC Philadelphia reports that Barron Alexander received 11-1/2 to 23 months plus eight years of probation Monday after pleading guilty to burglary, aggravated assault and related charges.
The incident occurred on the 3700 block of Brandywine Avenue in June 2014.
According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Alexander, 23, entered a row home occupied by three male students who attended Temple, Drexel and the University of Pennsylvania.
After stealing several video game consoles, electronics and cash, he went into one victim's room and tried to take his cell phone when the student woke up.
Alexander took a bayonet in the room and slashed the victim's face. One of the other victims, who had a license to carry a gun, grabbed his firearm and shot Alexander four times in front of the home, according to the Daily News.
Alexander received medical treatment before being arrested and now reportedly walks with a cane because of the injuries sustained from being shot.
