'SNL' returns next week with Rachel Brosnahan as first host of 2019

The winter break hiatus of "Saturday Night Live" will come to an end on Saturday, Jan. 19 with the first new episode of the year and Rachel Brosnahan scheduled to host.

Brosnahan stars as Miriam Maisel in "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," which cleaned up at last year's Emmy's and earned Brosnahan a Golden Globe on Sunday. The Amazon Prime show from Amy Sherman-Palladino has pervaded mainstream culture so much that "SNL" already spoofed the show – specifically Brosnahan's character – in the mid-season finale.

Joining Brosnahan on "SNL" will be Michigan rock band Greta Van Fleet as musical guest.

No other "SNL" hosts or musical acts have been announced for 2019.
