The traditional lager from D.G. Yuengling & Son could be showing up to your summer cookout in a whole new way.
The Pottsville-based company has partnered with Virginia's Smithfield Foods to roll out a pork bratwurst infused with the amber ale for a "rich, bold flavor," the two announced in a news release earlier this week.

The Smithfield Yuengling Traditional Lager Bratwursts are a part of the food company's "craft collection," where it pairs bratwursts with craft beers from American breweries like it did with Texas' Saint Arnold Brewery in 2015.
"We are proud to partner with Smithfield, another iconic American brand, to delight grilling fans with these bratwursts made with actual Yuengling lager," Jennifer Yuengling, sixth-generation legacy and vice president of operations of Yuengling, said in the release. "Like Smithfield, Yuengling places immense care and attention on our brands and delivering great taste, and we are thrilled to see consumers' reactions to the delicious combination of our two brands."
The bratwursts are sold in 19-ounce, five-link packages for $4.99 at East Coast grocers, including Sam's Club, for a limited time throughout the summer, according to Smithfield.
