Average bill for Tavistock homeowners is $25,346

The New Jersey city with the highest taxes has just five residents.

Tavistock, in Camden County, topped a list of New Jersey's highest taxes in 2014, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. The average property taxes for the five residents of the town — which is nestled around a golf course — is $25,346. The average property tax in New Jersey is $8,161. Most of the other cities on the list are located in northern New Jersey. The average property in Tavistock is valued at $1.53 million.
