Welp, I guess this is starting to become a weekly thing. No Max for this episode, so myself, Philly Mag's Derek Bodner, and Liberty Ballers’ Kyle Neubeck had to make do talking some Sixers at the All-Star break. Topics include:
• It’s debatable whether an 8-45 team can have losses that are considered bad, but Monday and Wednesday’s giveaways against the Clippers and Kings were bad losses for the Sixers. What did we make of Brett Brown’s late-game strategy and Jahlil Okafor strong game (except for the turnovers) flying solo against DeMarcus Cousins?
• There was an interesting story with quotes from Okafor that came out on ESPN.com earlier this week. In my opinion, the $64,000 question is: What in the world directed him to take the Ben Franklin Bridge on his way home from the Eagles game?
• TRADE RUMORS! Dennis Schroooooooder and Jeff Teague, and also Blake Griffin. We play “yay or nay” with these hypothetical scenarios that very likely won’t happen.
As we have started to do on a regular basis, some solid listener questions on a whole bunch of subjects (Embiid vs. Porzingis, Okafor’s Boogie comp, etc.) take us home. If you like the Sixers, this is definitely one of five podcasts for you:
