Sixers Beat: Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and some rare positivity

When looking back on Tuesday, Sixers fans can look back at the poet Ice Cube to sum things up: Thanks to Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid updates, today was a good day. Around PCOM, there was a generally positive vibe that understandably hasn’t always been there since I started covering the team.

Let’s recap:

• Simmons granted the Sixers a private workout, and all signs point to the Sixers taking him No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft. As he is wont to do, Embiid tweeted about this:

• Embiid was cleared to start light scrimmaging, which he of course also tweeted about:
