After years of attempts to capitalize on 'The Simpsons' fictional Duff beer, 21st Century Fox has decided to stop fighting the concept in court and satisfy the global thirst for Springfield's favorite suds.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the media giant has been consulting with British brewmaster Paul Farnsworth to nail down the perfect flavoring for the drink famously represented by the heroic Duffman.
Rather than play on themes from 'The Simpsons,' which is the longest-running scripted series in television history, the beer will be subtly packaged as an exact replica of what appears in the cartoon.
The company plans to launch the product in Chile first in an effort to drive away unauthorized, pirated versions of the drink that it has also attempted to control in Mexico and Colombia.
As for plans in the U.S., Fox is not ruling out an eventual expansion from the limited availability at Universal's theme parks in Los Angeles and Orlando.
