Seven people were arrested by the Secret Service and another 34 were issued citations during a wild night of demonstrations outside the Democratic National Convention in South Philadelphia Wednesday night.
Police said that 34 protesters staged a sit-in at parking lot T of the Wells Fargo Center, where a majority of convention actives have taken place, at about 9:15 p.m., obstructing traffic in and out of the event.

Those demonstrators were removed from the area, issued citations for obstruction and released without further penalty, police said.
About an hour-and-a-half later, seven people were able to get through the outer fence of the convention, entering a secured zone designated by the Secret Service, according to authorities.
Police said the individuals were quickly detained, never entering the Wells Fargo Center. They were arrested by the Secret Service and charged with entering a restricted area.
They were taken to a federal detention center and are scheduled to appear before a magistrate judge on Thursday, July 28.
Earlier Wednesday, 10 protesters were detained after they staged a sit-in outside the Comcast Center. As of Thursday, a total of 103 demonstrators have been issued citations, receiving $50 fines.
