Kaitlin Olson, who plays Deandra "Sweet Dee" Reynolds on the show, told TV Guide Thursday that season 13 could be postponed for quite a while.
"We ended up pushing our next season a year because we were all busy with separate projects this year," Olson said, according to TV Guide. "So at the end of this coming shooting season of 'The Mick' I'll step right into Sunny after that."
The website reported that that could mean that "It's Always Sunny" fans may have to wait until early 2019 for the next season, since the past three seasons of the show first aired in January.
A spokesperson for FXX told the site that production and air dates have yet to be determined. However, "It's Always Sunny" has been renewed for a 13th and 14th season, Deadline reported. Although, it's not clear if Howerton will make a return.
FOX's "The Mick" will air its season finale this upcoming week. The network also picked up a second season of the show back in February.
Rob McElhenney, who plays Mac on the "It's Always Sunny," is directing a movie about Minecraft while Glenn Howerton, who plays Dennis Reynolds, is working on an NBC pilot with comedian Patton Oswalt.
Danny DeVito, who plays Frank Reynolds, is also starring in a Broadway play called "The Price."
