Scenes from Made in America: Pics and highlights from Jay Z’s (last?) party on the Parkway
Coldplay, Lil Uzi Vert, DJ Khaled, Bill Clinton, etc.

Despite panics of the impending doom of Hurricane Hermine, the weather gods remained on Philly’s side and brought perfect weather for the fifth (and final?) Made in America festival over the weekend. Nestled along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, this year’s MIA included five stages and endless product placement for Budweiser and Tidal.
•Lil Uzi Vert jumping a fence to escape a mob of fans (people are obsessed with this man)
•SZA’s ‘F--- DONALD’ outfit
•Jay Electronica performing his entire set on the barricade before inviting the crowd onto the stage, causing absolute chaos… and pissing off security. (Rumor is he did it to divert attention away from Lil Uzi Vert who was walking by.)
•Jamie xx’s set — it was just gooood.
•Banks & Steelz. I have a thing for Wu-Tang.
•Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros inviting two girls with a sign asking to play the tambourine on stage. He was, seemingly, really high.
•FKA Twigs being FKA Twigs, absolutely flawless
•DJ Khaled making everyone feel like they were at a high school dance party again
•Chance the Rapper putting on one of the best performances, and going way over his time for his set. No one was complaining.
•Coldplay didn’t bring the confetti, but at least we had fireworks
•The five seconds of Beyonce we saw before security pushed us out of the way
•BILL CLINTON . Yes, Bill Clinton giddy as could be in the pit watching Chance the Rapper. Life made.
I didn’t know what to expect this weekend, but I had fun. Thanks, Jay Z. You did alright.
