When his resignation letter surfaced back in April, Sam Hinkie had confirmed that the Twitter handle @samhinkie (an egg that had never tweeted) was in fact him. The former Sixers GM and president of basketball operations hinted that he might surface on social media “someday soon.”
That day is Wednesday, September 14th. In true Hinkie fashion, he sent a string of 10 tweets, updating the world on what he’s up to. Right off the bat, we learned that he moved out of the area:

He’s taking a year off from basketball and focusing on his kids:

The Warriors play within an hour’s driving distance of his new home. He’s going to study Silicon Valley trends in addition to watching basketball:

Hinkie is an extremely bright guy, and everyone knew he would land on his feet. I just had no idea he was so into snowboarding. Look out, Big Bear:
