The race will start in the parking lot and head out into the surrounding neighborhoods before returning to the school. All levels of ability are encouraged to run or walk at their own pace, and there's even a fun run before the 5K.
There will be indoor registration and bathrooms available throughout the event to keep you warm, as the race will happen rain, shine or snow. Members of Trinity Lutheran Church, which is hosting the event, will be providing free child care during the race, too. Finish-line photos of each racer will be available for free download online.
Proceeds from the run will go to the Conrad Weiser Food Pantry and the Western Berks Free Medical Clinic.
If you pre-register for the race online by midnight Wednesday, Jan. 28, you'll get a free T-shirt. You also can register in person on the day of the race, but T-shirts are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Stick around after the race for refreshments and join Trinity's Chocolate Festival from 3-7 p.m. that day for silent auctions, music, games, food and tons of dessert.
