Rosemont College on the Main Line announced Wednesday that it is reducing tuition by 43 percent, beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, in what's being called "Our Tuition Promise."
The initiative will reduce tuition from around $32,000 to $18,500. In addition, room and board will be reduced to $11,500 — a 14 percent reduction that will apply to every Rosemont student.
"While this is a bold move for Rosemont, the quality of the education, faculty and campus experience we all love will not change," the school says on its website.
"Rosemont will remain home to attentive, highly-credentialed faculty and continue to offer all of the athletics and campus life opportunities that make Rosemont so special."
Rosemont says its goal is to make education more affordable and accessible to all families.
