A man attempting to flee police on bike collided with a police cruiser and died Wednesday night in Chester, CBSPhilly reports.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at Keystone Road and West 13th Street. Officers said they believed the 24-year-old man was trying to flee after an attempted robbery.
He was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The man's mother told CBS 3 Eyewitness News that her son had never been in trouble before. She said she believes police were pursuing the wrong man.
The incident remains under investigation.
