Everyone else can say what they want about Philly sports fans, but one thing is for sure: we know how to celebrate our winning teams.

Mural Arts recently teamed up with Spike's Trophies Limited in Northeast Philadelphia to create a brand new mural called "City of Champions." Created by David McShane, the mural salutes our championship winning teams and all-star players in all their glory.

"City of Champions" will be officially dedicated March 31. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will coincide with Spike's Annual Customer Show. Mural Arts' Jane Golden will be there with McShane, Spike's Trophies CEO Keith Baldwin, Firstrust Bank CEO Richard Green and Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame President Ken Avallon.

McShane is a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan. He designed and painted the mural, with the help of Diana Gonzalez, Eurhi Jones and Kien Nguyen.

McShane also designed the Philadelphia Phillies Mural going up at 24th and Walnut streets this spring. Members of the community and Phillies helped paint the mural. The eight story work includes Phillies greats Carlos Ruiz and Greg Luzinski, who were voted in by the fans.
