A suspect who barricaded himself inside a Roxborough home and fired gunshots at police has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to multiple media reports.
Police responded to the unit block of River Road at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday to respond to reported gunfire, according to CBS3.
A man began firing shots at police, but no officers were injured. No civilians were injured either, the news station reports, but nearby residents were asked to stay indoors.

The unidentified man was eventually killed by the self-inflicted gunshot wound in a wooded area nearby, according to NBC10.
SEPTA had temporarily stopped service on the Norristown-Manayunk train line for safety before reopening the line around 11 a.m.
