Police have identified the armed, 54-year-old man who two police officers shot and killed in Upper Darby on Tuesday night.
At a press conference Wednesday, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood identified the shooting victim as 54-year-old David Zollo.
Zollo, wielding a knife, reportedly had lunged at cops. When he refused to drop the blade, and continued threatening officers, police used a Taser in an attempt to subdue him, Chitwood said according to delcotimes.com. That failed and Zollo was fatally shot.
6ABC reported that the incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. at the Bishop Hill Apartments located at 151 E. Bishop Ave.
