A black, female Villanova student who said she was injured by a group of white males shouting, "Trump, Trump, Trump," has reportedly asked police to stop investigating the incident.

Lt. Andy Block of the Radnor Police Department said that while she's been very cooperative with authorities, she said she didn't want police to look into the situation further, the Delaware County Daily Times reported Tuesday.

The university, however, is still investigating, according to a spokesperson for the school.

Neither a spokesperson for the police department nor one for the university returned immediate requests for comment Tuesday.

The student was walking to the university's main campus from west campus through the SEPTA station tunnel on Nov. 10 when the group allegedly approached and knocked into her, causing her to hit the ground and hit her head.

The university took immediate action. The Villanova Public Safety Department, along with the Radnor Police Department, launched investigations.

The university said that those responsible would face "serious consequences for their actions and [would] be disciplined appropriately," a spokesperson said in a statement after the incident.

Villanova President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue also sent a campuswide email to faculty and students condemning the actions.

"Over the past few days, I have been deeply disturbed by several reports of members of our community using our nation’s political process as a justification for behaviors and language aimed to intimidate or humiliate other people," he said in the email. "This type of behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated at Villanova."
