Report: Miami shooting allegedly related to rap rivalry involving Meek Mill

A shooting outside of a luxury hotel Friday in Miami might be tied to an ongoing rivalry between Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill and Los Angeles' The Game.

Miami Beach Police are investigating several shots that were fired into a vehicle around 7 a.m. thought to belong to the West Coast rapper. Though no one was injured, a suspect fled the scene driving a grey Ford Mustang, according to West Palm Beach's WPTV5.

Wack 100, Game's manager, told TMZ that vehicles belonging to the rapper's entourage were not hit. The Game performed Thursday night down the road from the Fontainebleau, where the shooting happened.

During the show, Game – whose real name is Jayceon Taylor – called Meek Mill "a snitch," in relation to an alleged robbery of rapper Sean Kingston's $300,000 chain at an L.A. nightclub, according to a video posted by TMZ. It's not clear that Game's allegation had anything to with the shooting.

Police have not identified any suspects in the shooting.
