Pennsylvania teen Jackie Evancho, who sang at President Donald Trump's inauguration and whose sister is transgender, has reportedly been in talks with the White House regarding a formal sit-down with the president on transgender rights.
In an interview with TRIBLive, Evancho said she anticipates a meeting with Trump “toward the end of the month.”
The 16-year-old singer recently took to Twitter to share her disappointment over Trump’s retraction of Obama-era national bathroom protections for transgender students.
I am obviously disappointed in the @POTUS decision to send the #transgender bathroom issue to the states to decide. #sisterlove

She also tweeted at Trump asking him to meet with her and her sister, Juliet, 18, one of the plaintiffs who recently won a temporary injunction in a federal lawsuit against a Pennsylvania school district regarding the bathroom rule.
