Yet one movie star wants him to go ahead and run for the office on the top of the ticket, according to a report.
Page Six reports Jesse Eisenberg, a Jersey native himself, was "star-struck" when he met Booker at the New York premiere for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Sunday.
Eisenberg, who plays villain Lex Luther in the film, reportedly asked the former mayor of Newark to rescue the country by running for president. Per Page Six:
New Jersey-raised Eisenberg was “telling Booker what an honor it was to meet him, and that he was seeing the movie. He asked, ‘Can you save us and run for president?’”
Booker, who detailed the story of his political rise in the recently release book "United," has been an adamant supporter of Clinton throughout the campaign. So, Eisenberg — barring some catastrophic collapse from both Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders — will likely have to wait until at least 2020 for a potential Booker run.
