Fire officials scrambled to put out a blaze Tuesday night at Montgomery County's Graterford Prison after an inmate allegedly set a fire in a cell, according to an alert from county officials.
Officials told NBC10 the fire was started by an inmate around 6:30 p.m. at the Correctional Facility on 1 Prison Road in Skippack Township.
One prisoner who was injured in the fire was airlifted to a hospital by a medical helicopter.
It was not immediately clear whether the inmate who started the fire was the same inmate who was injured.
Firefighters were able to quickly suppress the flames at the scene.
