The Eagles are expected to sign a free agent contract with 49ers running back Frank Gore, per a number of reports, the first of whom was Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com:
As I reported last night, expectation is that #Eagles and Gore will get a deal done by Tuesday. That continues to be the case, per source

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has the guaranteed money at $7.5 million the first two years of the deal:
Barring something unforeseen, Frank Gore will indeed be an Eagle, per league source. The deal is expected to pay $7.5M guaranteed in '15-16.

Gore will turn 32 in May, but he has run for over 1000 yards in eight of his last nine seasons, with the lone exception being 2010, when he missed five games. His positive attributes also make him an intriguing fit in Chip Kelly's offense:
Book on Gore: Leadership, great in pass pro, excellent zone runner (also good running out of shotgun formation).

And then there's this nugget:
@JimmyKempski Frank Gore - most yards rushing by an opposing RB in a single game against a Chip Kelly NFL defense: 24 att 119 yds, Gm4-2014

After trading star running back LeSean McCoy to the Bills, Gore's expected addition gives the Eagles a veteran presence in the backfield, but expect them to also potentially add a younger back in the draft.
