General manager Howie Roseman will no doubt be looking to upgrade the Philadelphia Eagles' receiving corps this upcoming offseason, and is reportedly interested in bringing back a familiar face to do so.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles will likely pursue Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson when he hits the market as an unrestricted free agent after the season ends.
The speedy, 30-year-old wideout spent his first six years in the league with the Eagles. In 122 games played, Jackson caught 356 balls for 6,117 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also scored three rushing touchdowns and returned four punts for scores.
In 2014, Jackson was abruptly released by Philadelphia when former head coach Chip Kelly took control of personnel decisions.
Later that year, Jackson signed with Washington where he has played for the last three seasons.
This season, Jackson has 38 receptions for 585 yards and three touchdowns. He has missed only one game for a 6-4-1 Redskins team that currently holds the final wild-card spot in the NFC.
As the Redskins were preparing to host the Eagles in Week 6, Jackson indicated that he was open to a return to the Eagles in free agency. Jackson was targeted nine times during that game catching four for 55 yards in a 27-20 win.
