It would appear that Philadelphia Eagles CB Ron Brooks will not go the way of the cap casualty this offseason. Instead, he'll take a pay cut, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
Source: Eagles DB Ron Brooks took a paycut from $1.85M to $1M for 2017. The 2018 year in his contract is also now an option year.

Brooks ruptured his quadriceps Week 6 last season, and was placed on injured reserve. Had the Eagles released Brooks, they would have saved $1.6 million. Instead, they'll save some additional cash and be able to keep Brooks on what is already a paper-thin depth chart at cornerback.
