In the aftermath of Monday's nasty fight between rap mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs and UCLA football coach Sal Alosi, reports have emerged that an altercation took place between Alosi and New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis in 2010.
Combs, arrested on Monday by UCLA campus police, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats and one count of battery after allegedly assaulting Alosi with kettlebell. The altercation is said to have stemmed from a dispute about criticism and usage of Combs' son, who plays football for UCLA, according the L.A. times, which says Combs will claim self-defense.
According to a report from TMZ Sports, Revis fought Alosi in 2010 during his time as the Jets strength and conditioning coach.
TMZ Sports has obtained a letter from a female chiropractor sent to Jets brass in 2010 ... raising serious concerns about strength and conditioning coach Alosi. According to the chiropractor, Alosi got into a "fistfight" with Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis. The doctor added Alosi has a pattern of abusive behavior and the Jets needed to get him under control.
A former player with the Jets confirmed the report, according to NJ.com, and the letter has been sent to Combs to be used in his legal defense against Alosi.
In 2010, Alosi was fined $25,000 and suspended for the duration of the season after tripping former Miami Dolphin and current Eagle Nolan Carroll along the sideline.
Sean Combs has posted $50,000 bail, but it is not yet known whether Revis will confirm that the 2010 fight occurred.
