Hospital spokesperson says incident 'quickly resolved,' suspect in custody

Philadelphia police have a suspect in custody after a former employee of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia allegedly threatened a hospital staff manager with a knife Wednesday afternoon.

According to NBC10, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed that the unidentified intruder entered CHOP's Seashore House building and threatened the manager on the third floor.

The spokeswoman said the incident was "quickly resolved" and the suspect was taken into police custody.

There were no injuries reported and it was not immediately clear what motivated the suspect.

An investigation is underway.
