The Chip Kelly era in Philadelphia lasted three years, and by the time it was over, many of the Eagles' best players were either released or traded away for peanuts. After 15 games and a 2-13 record in San Francisco, it appears as though the 49ers are cutting bait with Kelly, but at least they'll keep their best players (if you can consider any of their players "great," that is).
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the 49ers intend on cleaning house, firing both Kelly and general manager Trent Baalke.
San Francisco is expected to make sweeping changes, dismissing both HC Chip Kelly and GM Trent Baalke, league sources tell ESPN.

It is reportedly expected that Kelly will coach the final game of the season Sunday at home against the Seattle Seahawks, and his fate will be sealed shortly thereafter.
