Renowned African artists featured at ACANA Fest

The PECO Multicultural Series continues Sunday, Aug. 2, with the ACANA Festival. Brought to Penn's Landing by The African Cultural Alliance of North America, the day of live entertainment features international and local talent.

There will be plenty of musical performances during the day, including everything from modern Afropop to reggae. Timaya, the award-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter, will headline the live performances. Master of Ceremonies Frank Artus will also host Universal Dance Ensemble, Temple graduate Rafiya, Rotimi, Sharon Katz, Soul on Demand, Togar Howard, Chilton Reggae Band, Young Muse and Nyenebo on stage.

African food vendors, traditional crafts, clothing and goods will be available for purchase, and there will be games and activities for all ages.
