Rapper and New Jersey native Fetty Wap, best known for his 2014 hit single "Trap Queen," is recovering Saturday from a motorcycle accident in his hometown of Paterson.
The crash, originally reported by TMZ, occurred when Fetty Wap, whose birth name is Willie Maxwell, attempted to pass one vehicle and collided with a car in the oncoming lane, a witness told the gossip site.
Maxwell, 25, was quickly taken to an area hospital, where he was reportedly conscious as he was treated for multiple injuries. The extent of the rapper's injuries were not disclosed, but DJ Louie Styles, his friend and CEO of LAE Records, tweeted a photo of a bandaged Maxwell sitting on a hospital gurney.

Paterson police later confirmed that the accident occurred at around 12:40 p.m. Saturday as Maxwell was making a left onto East 30th Street, NorthJersey.com reports. He was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The woman driving the vehicle was also injured and treated at the same hospital, though the severity of her injuries was not revealed.
Maxwell, who just last week released his debut album, "Fetty Wap," was issued three summonses following the accident. He was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and failure to produce a vehicle registration.
It was not immediately clear whether the accident would affect upcoming tour dates.
