All this month, Ramona Susan's owners Betty Halpenny and Elly Koenig are serving "Beeramisu," a tiramisu made using a reduction of Yards Brewing Company's Love Stout, known for its creamy chocolate-and-coffee flavor. Ladyfingers are soaked into a concentrate of the stout and the barley used for the brew, all before being layered with mascarpone mousse that boasts notes of coffee and rum. The Beeramisu is then packed into a 16-ounce Yards pint glass, which customers can keep. The dessert costs $10 per pint.
Ramona Susan's Bake Shop, at 1255 Marlborough St., opened last August as a two-woman-team operation that focuses on the essentials: cupcakes, cookies, brownies and puddings. Though you won't find seating inside, you can pop by Wednesday through Friday, 5-9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. They also deliver on Fridays and Saturdays.
