It has been quite the busy summer for Ben Simmons, who was back in the Philly area over the weekend with Joel Embiid for the Sixers Beach Bash in Avalon. Here he is teaching a youngster the pitfalls of failing to get into a proper defensive stance:

Simmons has also spent time in Australia and Canada over recent months. Before he heads back down the shore for training camp later this month, the 20-year-old has stepped up the competition just a little bit from roasting local 10-year-olds:
As one of the Klutch Sports’ main attractions, Simmons will be linked to LeBron James for a long time, especially if he proves to be a star-caliber player in the NBA. It will be interesting to see what happens when the two friends go head-to-head against each other. Their first meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th in Philly.
One thing is already for sure: Strictly from a court vision standpoint, Simmons might enter the NBA with the best combination of size and passing since James came into the league back in 2003. It will be up to him to fill out the rest of his game.
And it’s not just James that Simmons is working out with. Dwyane Wade, Richard Jefferson, and former Sixer Jordan McRae are out in California, too:

1. Simmons is legitimately taller than LeBron.
2. What is up with Wade and Jefferson’s shorts?
