It's no secret that Philadelphia has a large Harry Potter fan base. The annual Harry Potter Festival in Chestnut Hill is a wildly popular event each fall, with crowds growing larger each year.
In May, a new Harry Potter-themed event will come to the city. PotterCon Philly invites adult fans to mingle, drink and play pretend at the Theatre of Living Arts on May 14.
The day features a range of activities, including a Sorting Hat ceremony. Attendees can throw their name in the Goblet of Fire for a chance to discover their Hogwarts house on stage.
There will also be a costume contest, a trivia game, merchandise booths, a photo booth and a House Cup tournament. The more activities or shopping you do, the more points you earn for your preferred Hogwarts house.
Since PotterCon is a 21-plus event, there will be Firewhiskey and Butterbeer.
While the buy-one-get-one ticket promotion sold out in under 30 minutes, general admission tickets are still available for $16 per person.
