Body found at construction site in Port Richmond, police say

A dead body was found buried under construction debris at a work site in Port Richmond on Monday afternoon, Philadelphia police said.

Authorities said a passerby noticed the human remains at site located near Bath and Schiller streets.

The gender and race of the person could not immediately be determined, authorities said.

There was no additional information available about the discovery.

Police are still at the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
