Police: Three men shot in Juniata Park while hanging holiday decorations

Three men were allegedly shot while hanging Christmas lights outside of their homes in Juniata Park Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

Right before 11 p.m., police responded to a shooting on the 4000 block of Howland Street where they found three men who had been shot and injured. No names have been released yet, but officials said that a 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his back, while a 36-year-old was shot in his upper arm. A third man, 34, was shot twice in his stomach.

All three are listed in stable condition at area hospitals.

Police said that the men were hanging the holiday decorations when a dark gray Chevy Impala with tinted windows drove passed the group, stopping about 40 feet ahead and then backed up to talk to them.

The man sitting in the passenger's seat asked the three if "they had a problem" and if they hit the Impala. He then took out his handgun and allegedly shot the complainants and fled the scene.

The first offender, about 20-years-old, was last seen wearing a light-gray knitted hat. The second offender, also about 20-years-old, has shoulder-length hair, possibly dreadlocks.
