Three people were arrested Friday afternoon as nearly 100 teenagers engaged in a brawl inside SEPTA's Eighth Street Station, police said in a statement.

Officers responded to the scene shortly before noon to assist transit police who called for help after a fight broke out on the westbound side of the station platform.
Officials said transit police attempted to break up the fight but were attacked at the scene.
Additional officers from the Sixth District were able to disperse the crowd and later took three individuals into custody. The identities of those arrested were not revealed.
Police said no officers or civilians were injured in the melee.
