Philadelphia police are investigating after a student took a stun gun to Belmont Charter School in West Philadelphia on Friday.
According to authorities, school officials became aware of the stun gun when another student reported the weapon, CBS 3 reports.
The student, who has not been identfied, admitted to bringing the stun gun to school after he was called to the principal's office.
The student remains in the custody of school officials and police.
No injuries were reported and Belmont Charter School was not placed on lockdown.
