A woman was apprehended Friday for leaving a toddler unattended in a residence in Runnemede, New Jersey.
Lauren Pylant, 27, allegedly left her 3-year-old child at her home on the 300 block of Shisley Circle.
An officer arrived at the house at 9:11 a.m. and discovered the child.
Within an hour, Pylant returned and was arrested after telling authorities she left while the child was asleep to go to a Walmart located on Route 47 in Deptford, New Jersey.
Pylant is facing one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
The child, who was unharmed, was taken into custody by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
