Police seek skateboarders who robbed teens with knife in South Philly

Philadelphia police are looking for three teens who allegedly robbed two other juveniles at knifepoint of an iPhone and $11 cash before fleeing the scene on skateboards.

Three teenagers are sought for shaking down two other teens with a knife, police said Friday.

The robbery occurred back on March 19. Two 14-year-olds were on the 800 block of South Darien Street when the three suspects approached them, demanding their property and threatening them with a blade, police said.

The suspects took an iPhone and $11 before fleeing on their skateboards, police said. They were last seen going west on Catherine Street.

No injuries were reported from the incident. Surveillance video of the suspects can be viewed below:

Here are police descriptions of the suspects:

• Black male, 14-15 years of age, 5’4”, wearing a black hat, black jacket, and red sneakers.

• Black male, 14-15 years of age, 5’10”, wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, white/blue hat, grey sneakers, and black pants.

• White male, 13-14 years of age, wearing a white hat, black coat, blue jeans and black sneakers.
