New information is set to be released Monday regarding an investigation into a bodiless, embalmed head found in a wooded area of Beaver County, Pennsylvania, more than a year ago.
According to The Times Herald, since the discovery on Dec. 12, 2014, the identity of the remains has been unknown.
There has been no word on whether Monday's press conference by the Beaver County Economy borough police -- about 15 miles northwest of Pittsburgh where the remains were found -- will provide an identity.
On Saturday, the department performed a burial service for the remains at Beaver Cemetery, The Times Herald reports.
Police previously released a mast replica of the head, shown below, to aid its investigation.
