Philadelphia police are hoping the public can help identify and locate a suspect wanted in several incidents of indecent and physical assault in South Philadelphia.
On Saturday night, the department released an image of the suspect – a black man – wanted in connection with three assaults over the last 16 days.
In the most recent incident, on December 30 at about 2:55 p.m. in the area of 200 Fitzwater St., a dark complected, unshaven black man, described as 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, wearing dark clothes and fingerless gloves, and operating a bicycle, pushed a woman to the ground, and attempted to cover her mouth as she was entering her residence, police said. She was able to fight the offender off.
Two days earlier, at about 5:09 a.m. in the area of 1300 Morris St., a black man, described as about 30 years old, wearing a red and black flannel shirt, and on a bicycle, began to approach a woman as she was entering her home, police said. But she was able to enter get inside without incident.
On December 20, at about 1:40 a.m. in the area of 700 South St., a black male, described as about 5-foot-8, with medium build and wearing all black clothing, indecently assaulted a female victim, according to police.
