Police are asking the public for assistance identifying the remains of a woman found in a Delaware County park earlier this year.
The Pennsylvania State Police said the body was discovered in January by hikers along a trail in Ridley Creek State Park in Edgemont Township.
Investigators believe the woman was white, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-10, in her 30's or late 20's, with brown hair. She was fully clothed in cold-weather attire when discovered. Police say she probably died sometime in 2014.
The following items were found near her body:
• Three gold rings: an Irish Claddagh ring, a ring bearing the initial “C,” and a ring engraved with “C.A. or C.R." on the interior
• Two backpacks
• Two pairs of shoes, size "9": black boots and purple Sketchers running shoes
• Two empty pill bottles
• A blanket
• A box cutter
Anyone with information is urged to contact Troopers Andrew Martin and Mark Gibble or the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.
Police said a cash reward is available.
