Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who broke into a parked car and opened fire on Sunday night, injuring a man and woman in the Northern Liberties section of the city.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 10:45 p.m. at 500 North 6th Street.
Police said the suspect opened the door of a gray 2006 Ford Taurus and shot the two victims, a 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, before both of them fled the car and escaped to a nearby home. The man was struck in the right arm and buttocks and the woman was hit in the high.
The victims were taken to an Hahnemann Hospital where they were treated for injuries and listed in stable condition. Police said they were able to describe the suspect and provide officers with a name and address.
No arrests have been made in the shooting — one of 13 that occurred in Philadelphia over the course of a violent summer weekend.
