Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was shot during a violent home invasion in North Philadelphia on Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at 1:21 p.m. on the 900 block of West York Street, CBS 3 reports. The suspect, described as a 21-year-old black male with a thin build, forced his way into the home and shot the 48-year-old homeowner in the leg before stealing a wallet containing $35. He then fled the scene.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Temple University Hospital and was listed in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a blue a blue shirt and white pants.
A police investigation is ongoing.
