Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was fatally shot Thursday night in the West Oak Lane section of North Philadelphia.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred at around 8:45 p.m. near Maryland Road near 75th Avenue, NBC 10 reports.
The 39-year-old victim, who has not been identified, sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his head and was pronounced dead by medics at 9 p.m.
Police said no arrests have been made in the shooting. Investigators are trying to determine what motivated the violent attack.
