Authorities say the victim, who has not yet been identified, fell from an overpass at approximately 9:34 a.m. on the southbound side at Christopher Columbus Boulevard and Washington Avenue.
A medic called to the scene pronounced the man dead at 9:40 a.m and the roadway was temporarily closed. Officials have since reopened the highway, though southbound traffic remained slow through Philadelphia.
