A Manayunk woman was charged this week in connection with the shooting death of her tenant over a rent dispute, according to media reports.
The incident occurred Saturday around 2:30 a.m. on the 4300 block of Boone Street, FOX29 reports.
Authorities said 28-year-old Anthanasia Moncrief allegedly shot her roommate, 32-year-old Richard Spadel, in the back during an argument. Medical personnel pronounced Spadel dead at the scene around 3 a.m.
According to philly.com, Spadel rented a room in Moncrief's house. The argument stemmed from Spadel failing to pay rent to Moncrief.
Moncrief was later charged with murder and other related charges after giving a statement to police.
