Philadelphia police are investigating after a pair of armed robbers posing as law enforcement officers held up a auto detailing shop in Northeast Philadelphia on Saturday night.
According to authorities, the incident took place around 8 p.m. at DTMS Detailing on Geiger Road in Bustleton, NBC 10 reports.
The suspects allegedly burst into the shop shouting, "Cops!" and entered the office of an employee on the second floor. The robbers then held the man to the ground at gunpoint and zip-tied his hands behind his back before sitting him down in a chair and demanding access to money and drugs, according to police.
The victim had $1,200 removed from his wallet and was asked to lead the suspects to more money. The suspects, still acting as cops, threatened to obtain a warrant but eventually fled the scene.
The victim was able to break free from the restraints and jump out of a second-floor window, where he observed a dark-colored vehicle speed out of the parking lot and head east on Geiger Road. The was no damage to the shop and the victim was not injured in the incident.
