Police are searching for a suspect they say is responsible for a shooting in North Philadelphia.
The incident occurred Thursday around 3:15 p.m. on the 1600 block of North 25th Street.
A 39-year-old woman, who is a United States Postal Service worker, witnessed a man on a bicycle at the corner of Nicholas and 25th streets. She heard gunshots emanating from the area where the man was riding. When the man on the bicycle returned a short time later, she took cover on the floor of her mail truck and heard another series of gunshots. One round struck the windshield of her vehicle. The gunman was caught on surveillance video fleeing the area on the bicycle.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, a stocky build and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers.
