Police: four injured in shooting outside Kingsessing bar

A shooting outside of Wanda's Lounge on the 5500 block of Springfield Avenue in Kingsessing left four people injured Friday night, police said.

Police responded to a report of a shooting around 9:20 p.m. Friday, where officials found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. A 63-year-old man was shot in the head and chest and taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

A 29-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to his back and was also taken to Penn Presbyterian. He is listed in serious condition. Both men were too sedated to provide information to officials, police said Saturday.

A third person, whose name and age are not yet being released, suffered from gunshot wounds in his left arm and foot. He was taken to Penn-Presbyterian in a private car where he's listed in stable condition.

A fourth male, 18, arrived at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was released after he was treated for a gunshot wound he sustained to his left foot.

That man, who was the only one well enough to be interviewed by police, told officials that he was outside of the bar when he heard shots being fired and took off running. He then felt the injury in his foot.

A stranger drove him to the hospital.

A suspect has not yet been identified, police said.
